Now, it is quite understandable that if you are a beginner, you hardly have any experience for professional writing. So there is only one way to build experience and that is – START.
First of all if you are part of a school or college make sure you join the literary club and write for the annual magazines that are part of almost every institution. This will give you the confidence as well as feedback regarding your writing. Moving on, the most appropriate and suitable platform for you to begin your career as a content writer is to start freelancing. Yes, it may sound too professional and exhaustive but that is the best way to get into this field and expose yourself to the different kinds of writing along with the extensive subjects that you can write on. Initially, try as much as possible to write articles for different fields because this will help you to expand your horizons and will enable you to write regarding any field.
However, an important question here is where to get access to freelancing firms in order to begin your writing. You will have to search online on websites where such aopportunities are published such as OLX, Gumtree, freelancer etc. Also try the newspapers or ask a friend or colleague who already does this work. Make sure to have a well written sample ready to create an expression on your employer.
Once you begin freelancing, you can expand your arena through many ways for example, creating your own blogging website, and publishing your articles there. Gradually, try to get hold of larger content writing companies in order to build your experience and expand your exposure. Also, keep applying to newspapers or famous websites, since that will give you a totally different and professional exposure and experience.
