Baidu EYE as opposed to Google Glass

The Chinese company Baidu came up with Baidu EYE answer to Google Glass. It does not have a screen and the device can be connected with the smartphone. In this way, it can perform all the functions. The company head is of the view that a screen is not added as it consumes lots of energy. Besides this, it makes the device heavier and thus it becomes difficult to wear.

There are a number of benefits of using this product. One can use this product to get information related to some specific service or product. Besides this, it also helps in online shopping, as the device is helpful in finding products on different e-commerce sites. In the near future, the company is planning to add more features in the product. These features include hands free activities, answering calls, capturing images, and much more. In addition to this, it is expected that users will be able to create apps through his product. However, it has not made clear that how long will it take to integrate such service.

However, there are similarities between Baidu and Google as both of them are search engines but still there are huge differences between the Glass and the Eye. Google has portrayed an image that Glass is completely developed. However, on the opposite side, Baidu is trying to show that Eye is in its developing stage and there is a lot to come in the future. There is different functionality between the two products however both of them are eyewears. However, there is no screen in Eye, but Baidu use a camera for scanning objects. The basic pupose of deigning Baidu EYE was to assist people in image searching. It is likely that Baidu Eye will integrate some more exciting features in future.
